May Fairweather (she/her) Fairweather Adventures
Financial Coach
I’m May Fairweather, and I offer financial coaching to help you feel confident and in control of your money, using my model of the Four Domains of Personal Finance: knowledge, awareness, motivation, and momentum. I offer one-off calls and ongoing coaching packages, with a deliberately affordable price and very flexible terms. Coaching should never be an extra source of stress!
My financial coaching approach is a therapeutic one, with an emphasis on building your confidence, untangling old unhelpful narratives, and empowering you to feel competent and in control. I don’t have a one-size-fits-all programme to funnel you into; we will work with your brain, rather than against it.
We begin with a long chat to delve into your current situation. I’ll ask you questions about what is and isn’t working for you, which will help me spot what the core issues are. Then we work together to create a plan that will move you towards your goals, celebrating success along the way.

I encourage my clients to access support with any mental health problems or struggles alongside, or before, having financial therapy. As long as your condition is under control and you have good support, I'm happy to work with you on how you feel about money. If I feel that broader issues are dominating our sessions, I may encourage you to reach out to your therapist or other mental health professional.
Having previously worked for a debt and benefits advice charity and supported survivors of domestic abuse to rebuild their financial independence, I have a deep understanding of how many aspects of life are touched by money worries, and a broad knowledge of ways to resolve those worries. I recognise the value of a holistic approach that acknowledges the context of your life and circumstances.
I’m a single parent, neurodivergent, queer, and divorced – I have plenty of lived experience of how those things can affect our financial wellbeing! I’ve made it my life’s mission to make help with money more inclusive and accessible to all.
